Despite the challenges caused by COVID-19, some create the future and renew hope again with their accomplishments and aspirations for a bright future. Here are Maarif for Education & Training students. Student, Khalid Al-Ajran, from Manarat Riyadh Schools won the silver medal in the Olympiad in Mathematics Asian Pacific, this achievement will be added to the record of achievements for MAARIF’s students globally.
This winning comes after the various forms of support that student Khalid Al- Ajran received from Manarat Riyadh Schools helping him to get the full mark in Talent Scale Test to be qualified as one of King Abdul-Aziz & His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), and then providing him with the ideal environment, learning aids, teachers with international experience in teaching Mathematics. He participated in various competitions, enrichment programs and Mathematics training forums inside and outside KSA to achieve various national and international records and awards.
For their part, Maarif for Education & Training leaders have dedicated this achievement to the Saudi nation and congratulating the talented student, Khalid Al-Ajran, his family, teachers, the working team in Manarat Riyadh Schools and all those who contributed to support him, urging all students of our schools to continue their efforts for excellence and creativity
It is worthmentioning, Asia Pacific Mathematics Olympiad (APMO) was launched in 1998 to encourage schools to discover talented students in Mathematica in all Asia and Pacific countries. The contest is held on two days. The first day is assigned for participating countries of Northern and Southern Americas, while the second day is for participating countries of Western Pacific and Asia.
Saudi Arabia, represented in King Abdul-Aziz & His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), and the Ministry of Education have gained 7 medals and 3 certificates of appreciation in Asia Pacific Mathematics Olympiad (APMO) that was held remotely. The Kingdom also won the 15th position out of 337 students representing 38 countries, to be an unprecedented international achievement.
